Hawsé Sumi: A Canvas of Resilience and Vision

In February 2023, amid a backdrop of financial uncertainties and the looming fear of unpaid bills, my journey into the vibrant world of digital art began—not out of leisure, but necessity. Encouraged by my son, who noticed the weight of financial strain upon my shoulders, I ventured into the vast landscape of digital creativity. With nothing more than a spark of determination and raw talent, I crafted my first significant piece: a tribute to old-school rappers. This artwork, echoing the essence of a vibrant era, resonated deeply across social platforms, amassing over 14,000 likes on TikTok. This singular post did more than just pull me from the depths of financial instability—it catapulted me into a thriving career, opening a floodgate of opportunities as commissions surged in.

I must say the music that is playing with this video now was not the original song because of issues with music on TikTok it was replaced. The original song was the bridge is over by KRS one.

Here is another example of a post where I got a ton of people wanting animal characters turned into fictitious and non-fictitious characters.

And this one I’m still getting orders

Now, under the banner of Hawsé Sumi, my creations span all genres, drawing inspiration from past masters while adapting to various mediums such as canvas, acrylic, and metal. Each piece weaves a compelling narrative, embodying a fusion of artistic tradition and modern innovation. This blend of historical homage and contemporary artistry not only showcases my versatility but also prepares the stage for my works’ inclusion in esteemed exhibitions globally.

My art’s journey from a viral TikTok post to prestigious exhibitions is a testament to the boundless possibilities inherent in the world of digital art. It’s exhilarating to announce that my works are now celebrated not just locally but internationally. The vibrant, dynamic stories captured in each piece have found a distinguished home in the Mayor’s Office in Pittsburgh, a city known for its rich artistic heritage.

Building on this local acclaim, my creations have crossed oceans to be featured in critically acclaimed television series such as “Mayor of Kingston,” filmed in Pittsburgh, which showcased my artwork in a narrative context, further solidifying my reputation in the arts community. This exposure serves as a bridge to more global opportunities.

In May, my artwork will elevate to the international stage, displayed in prestigious galleries such as the Thomson Gallery in Switzerland, the Nicoleta Gallery in Berlin, Germany, and the Cipriarte Venezia Gallery in Venice, Italy. Each exhibition spotlights the unique blend of cultural narratives and personal expression that defines my work.

The crescendo of this thrilling journey reaches its peak with my first invitation to exhibit in New York City. This July, my artwork will be part of “Summer City Idyll,” a group exhibition at Agora Gallery in the vibrant heart of Chelsea, celebrating contemporary art amidst the city’s iconic backdrop. This opportunity marks a significant milestone in my career, showcasing my ability to touch hearts and provoke thought across continents.

This narrative of triumph over adversity and the celebration of artistic expression is not just my story—it’s an invitation to explore what’s possible with passion and perseverance. From a single viral image to international galleries, my journey underscores that with vision and determination, one can indeed transform ‘poverty to posh’ and beyond.

Now let’s just go a little deeper into my mindset and how it changed from 2023 to 2024.

In my ascent from a realm of uncertainty and self-doubt to the vibrant, self-assured life I lead today, I have embraced a philosophy I term “Unfuckable.” While the expression may evoke a spectrum of reactions, it is quintessentially a symbol of rarity, uniqueness, and unparalleled grace. “Unfuckable” captures my journey from the shadows of low esteem and financial hardship to a position of poise and distinction, encapsulating a lifestyle that is immune to the turbulence that once defined my days.

This transformative process was meticulously chronicled, capturing each step from the depths of despair to the pinnacle of empowerment. My upcoming course, “Poverty to Posh,” is an invitation to explore this concept of “Becoming Unfuckable,” a state of being that transcends mere resilience to embody an indomitable spirit.

For those drawn to the elegance and strength of this philosophy, I encourage you to delve into the essence of “Unfuckable.” Discover how this bold term can elegantly define a lifestyle of formidable confidence and unique flair.
